Anne Mullin Brockman Kerr passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. She was everything you could ask for as a wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother. A direct descendant of the Mayflower's Priscilla Mullin, Anne was a strong woman who inspired all of us with her personal drive and enthusiasm for life.
As a mother, Anne was patient in answering incessant questions of her young children, put up with teenage madness, encouraged them to do their best and loved them unconditionally. As adults, she inspired them with every step she took forward whether it was overcoming loss, coming back from health hardships, or even just starting a new endeavor. Anne had a fun-loving spirit of adventure, comedy and curiosity and loved to travel, laugh and try new things. She never met a stranger. She always marched forward only looking back with fondness of her life with Stan and then Bob. She loved her family and took pride in their accomplishments.
A community activist and a force to be reckoned with, Anne was civic minded and cared about the places she called home, whether it be as a visiting nurse with the Red Cross caring for migrant workers, establishing a preschool, serving on the Granville Recreation Commission or working with the Arthritis Foundation. She enjoyed swimming, knitting, embroidering, painting, jewelry making, playing the accordion, and spending time with friends over a cup of coffee.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Emily A. Brockman, S. Marc and Mary Brockman, Phoebe M. Brockman and Marwan Kashkoush, Eric B. and Susan Brockman, Stephen E. and John “Doc” Willoughby, Vincent C. and Mary D.S. Brockman; a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren; also survived by Stanley Brockman’s daughter, Terilyn Jade Brockman.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Stanley J. Brockman and her second husband of 15 years, Robert Kerr M.D.; one brother, and three sisters.
