Barbara Lenora (Stingel) Ailes

Barbara Lenora Stingel Ailes, of Granville, passed away June 10, 2023 at Kemper House in Worthington at the age of 91.  She was born on October 11, 1931 in New Philadelphia to the late Edward Stingel and Laura Bacu Stingel.

Surviving are her children, Peter (Susan), Alex and Philip (Lori) Blum; daughter-in-law, Dena Blum and son-in-law, Lee Weiss; grandchildren, Nick, Kayla, Cody, Tyler (Kristina), Alex (Katie), Zach, Lindsey (Kevin), Danielle (Blake), Nathan (Chloe) and great-granddaughter Andie.  Step-children, Linda Ailes and Todd (Laura) Ailes; step grandchildren, Benjamin (Catherine) Robertson, Lucas (Emily Brodie) Robertson, Kyle (Jetton) Ailes, and Keith Ailes; step great grandchildren, Lucas, Miles, Brody and Trace;

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Herbert B. Ailes; daughter, Andrea Blum; son, Steven Blum; daughter-in-law Tracey Blum; brother, John Stingel and sister, Mary Jo Harrell.

Barb was the ultimate hostess and cook.  Visiting Herb and Barb’s home at Kiawah was always an experience.  Barb and Herb enjoyed entertaining and exposing grandchildren to all sorts of beach adventures including turtle watches, golf, tennis, kayaking and crabbing.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
