Barbara L Brush

A funeral service celebrating the life of Barbara L. Brush will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Alexandria United Methodist Church, 72 Church St., Alexandria with Rev. Kenn Barton as celebrant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 10:30 A.M..

A retired administrative assistant with the Newark Air Force Base, Barbara passed away January 16, 2018 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. She was born February 25, 1935 in Alexandria, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Beulah (Bedell) Davis.

Barbara graduated from Alexandria High School and was a member of Alexandria U.M. Church and their Mary Martha Class. She was also a member of and past Worthy Matron of Licking County Chapter #551, Order of Eastern Star.  Barbara enjoyed watching OSU football games, bowling and playing euchre with friends.  She loved the log home they built on Buckeye Lake, where she enjoyed pontoon rides, outside fires and 4th of July gatherings with family and friends.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Norman L. Brush; son Randall L.; daughter, Cindy L.; grandchildren, Erin (Kasey) Reeves and Derek (Jessica) Brush; and great grandchildren, Derek Jr, Jessie, Riley, and Grady.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Tina Brush and sister, Leila June Ratai.
