Barbara A. (Showman) Gasser

Barbara A. (Showman) Gasser, age 76 of Granville, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at The Avalon of New Albany.

She was born March 24, 1948, in Newark, Ohio to the late Calvin and Juanita (Dicus) Showman.

Barbara was a graduate of Granville High School and Licking County Vocational School in cosmetology.  She attended college to earn her accounting degree and worked as an accountant at Park National Bank.

Barbara collected quilts, loved traveling and going on cruises.  She was an avid crafter, enjoyed reading and taking walks.  Barbara made friends easily and was a friend to everyone.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles R. Showman and Thomas Showman; a sister, Linda Osterbrock.

Barbara is survived by her siblings, Sandi (Steve) Hughes of Tallmadge, Ohio, Wesley “Gene” (Peggy) Showman of Reddy, West Virginia, David (Sharon) Showman of Ostrander, Ohio; sister-in-law, Jackey Showman of Thornville, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Granville.
