Beatrice F. Mainieri

A graveside service celebrating the life of Beatrice F. Mainieri, 93, of Granville, formerly of Burlington, Vermont, will be held at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery in Burlington with the Rev. Mary S. Whetstone officiating.

Beatrice passed away peacefully Monday, January 5, 2010 at home. She was born December 24, 1916 in Burlington, Vermont to the late George and Caroline (Atkinson) Ferris.

Mrs. Mainieri owned and operated a refrigeration and air conditioning company in Burlington with her late husband Daniel, until her retirement in 1982.

In addition to running the family business, Beatrice was a long time member of Burlington First United Methodist Church, was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling the world with her husband after their retirement.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-laws, John Mainieri and Mary Whetstone of Granville and George and Wendy Mainieri of Colchester, VT; grandchildren, Caroline, Matthew, Jessica, Teresa, and Mark; and great grandchildren, Daniel, Isabella, and Nicholas.

In addition to her husband of 48 years, Beatrice was preceded in death by one son, James; one granddaughter, Suzan; and three brothers, Arthur, Leroy, and Clarence.
