Beman Dawes Young

A graveside service for Beman Dawes Young, 80, of Indianapolis, will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at The Dawes Arboretum, 7770 Jacksontown Rd., Newark.
Mr. Young passed away January 6, 2008 in Indianapolis. He was born June 19, 1927, in Columbus, OH to David H. and Dorothy (Dawes) Young.
A graduate of The Ohio State University, Beman, enjoyed a career in the food and vending service. He was a founding partner of Pride Complete Vending Service. His hobby of building log cabins has left several log homes in the southern Indiana woods. He was a long time Trustee of The Dawes Arboretum and a Past President of the Descendants of William Dawes Who Rode Association.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Patricia C. (Campbell) Young; son, Timothy C. Young; daughter, Teresa A. Young; granddaughter, Amanda C. Jones and her husband Christopher; grandson, Timothy M. Young; great-grandson, Blake J. Jones; and sister, Dorothy Y. Mann.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David H. Young, Jr.
