Betty Davison

August 20, 1926 — April 8, 2010

A funeral service for Frances E. "Betty" Davison, 84, of Alexandria, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Alexandria Baptist Church, 94 W. Main Street, Alexandria with Pastor Larry Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Alexandria.

A former receptionist at Denison University, Betty died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Chapel Grove Inn, Heath. She was born August 20, 1926 in Newark, Ohio to the late Howard and Bernice (Welsh) Metcalf.

Betty was a member of Alexandria Baptist Church, the Farm Bureau, and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, George Lige Davison; son, Steven H. Davison of Mansfield; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Steven Hills of Alexandria; granddaughters and their husbands, Amy and Eric Albery of Granville, Anita and Tim McCoy of Alexandria, and Amanda and Buddy King of Archdale, NC; great grandchildren, Joel, Makenna, Blake, and Eliot; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Davies of Granville, Linda and Clinton Wright of Newark, and Judy and Art Dossman of Circleville; and former brother-in-law and his wife, Don and Connie Reid of Newark.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister Shirley Reid and brother-in-law, James Davies.

The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from noon until 2:00 p.m.
