A memorial service honoring the life of Brendan Edward Bittel, age 25, of Groveport, formerly of Granville, will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 18, at the Centenary United Methodist Church with Pastor Casey Wilson and Pastor Jeff Gill officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30-5:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church, 102 East Broadway in Granville.
Brendan was born May 26, 1999 in Columbus, Ohio. He passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at his home. A 2017 graduate of Granville High School, Brendan also attended Miami University. Motorcycles, Robotics, 3-D printing, and technology were among some of his hobbies that he was very passionate about. He loved being outdoors in nature and had been a Cub Scout and Boy Scout in his younger years. Brendan loved animals, especially frogs, toads, and his cats.
He is survived by his parents, Ed and Wendy Bittel; a sister, Kelsey E. Bittel of Chicago; a brother, Jacob E. Bittel of Wooster; and maternal grandparents, Darlene and Captain Kenneth Puckett.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Chad Somerlot.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Granville Education Foundation, P.O. Box 84, Granville, OH 43023.
