Carl K. Zigan

A graveside service will be held for Carl Kenneth Zigan, 86, of Granville, at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 22, 2014 at Hanover Cemetery with Pastor Wes Higgins officiating. Friends and family will gather after the service at The Faith Fellowship Church, Union Station Road, Granville, OH 43023 to celebrate Carl's life.

Carl passed away, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at his home surrounded by family. He was born September 9, 1928.to the late Henry Robert and Rosetta Myrtle (Bowman) Zigan.

A retired employee of the Newark Street Department with 17 years of service, Carl was formerly employed by Moore's Warehouses in Newark for 33 years and the Granville Milling Company for two. Carl served as a volunteer for the Licking Park District and enjoyed golfing, bowling, and helping his sons and his grandson farm. He loved having his grandchildren and great grandchildren close to him. He was a great friend to many and knew no stranger. He was a love one woman for all his life man and he'd give you the shirt right off his back with out question. He will be missed by many and forgotten by none.

Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Zigan & Cindy of Newark, Gary and Debbie Zigan, of Hebron, Steve and Vickie Zigan of Newark; daughters and son-in-law, Bonnie and Randy Scheetz of Newark, and Kathy Zigan of Granville; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty Lou (Kidwell), who died June 6, 2013, one grandson Lee Evans,six sisters, and four brothers.
