Cheryl Burger

Cheryl Burger passed away on February 2, 2024 at the age of 78.  She loved dogs of all breeds, birds, and warm weather.

Cheryl was a retired educator.  She taught special education classes to K-6 students at Dohron Elementary School in Mechanicsburg.  Cheryl was a special education supervisor for the Champaign-Logan County ESC.  For a number of years, Cheryl was a principal at Mac-A-Cheek in West Liberty.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gary Burger, and her parents, Kenneth and Hazel (Hively) of Pleasant City Ohio.  Cheryl leaves behind three daughters.  Kristin (Sean) Hartman of Springfield, Ohio.  Valerie (Dave) Childress of Centerburg, Ohio.  Ann-Marie (Michael) Walters of Hilliard,Ohio along with two grandchildren, Jamie and Colin Walters.

A special thank you goes out to the Memory Care staff at Northwoods Skilled Nursing Facility in Springfield for the great care they provided Cheryl.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
