Christian E. Gacek, 46, of Gahanna, died December 19, 2018 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Iwakuni, Japan to Gary E. and Donna L. Gacek.
He will be remembered as a loving husband and father who was devoted to his family and friends. Christian simply enjoyed family activities like helping his kids with their homework, watching and coaching their sports activities in Gahanna, and working on the yard and house when not teasing his wife Erin to make her laugh. As an avid sports enthusiast, he was a passionate Buckeye fan who also rooted for the Yankees, Lakers, and Redskins. His love, loyalty, and silly antics will forever be cherished.
In addition to his parents, surviving are his wife of 14 years, Erin; children, Jack, Lily, Olivia, Isabella, and Sophia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Troy and Kim Gacek and Tim and Kristi Gacek; sister, Tiffany Gacek; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Anna Marie Rice; and canine companion, Daisy.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 2-4 P.M. at McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St., Granville where a prayer service will be held at 2:00 P.M... A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Mifflin Cemetery in Gahanna with Msgr. Paul P. Enke.as celebrant.
