Cindy Pyka
October 1, 1947 — September 17, 2010
A celebration of life service for Cynthia S. "Cindy" Pyka will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St., Granville with Pastor Tony Price officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cindy was born October 1, 1947, in Columbus, to the late Edwin and Laurabel (Smith) Neff. She graduated from Centerville High School and attended the University of California, San Francisco where she earned her degree in dental hygiene.
She retired dental hygiene upon moving to Ohio. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, most especially Europe, Royal Caribbean Cruises, seeing the east coast in the Spring, and visiting Florida in the Fall. She also enjoyed mowing and the produce from the family garden.
Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Richard Pyka; brother-in-law and his wife, Greg and Sharon Pyka of Martinez, CA; cousins; nieces; nephews; and her German Shepherd, Tovey.
