A memorial service for Constance F. Brasmer, 83, of Granville will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 107 E. Broadway, Granville with the Rev. Stephen H. Applegate officiating. A private graveside service will be held at College Cemetery at Denison University, Granville.

Mrs. Brasmer passed away February 3, 2008 at Lutheran Village in Columbus. She was born Aug. 7, 1924 in Evanston, IL to the late William and Alice (Kaiser) Fuller.

After graduating from Southwest High School in Kansas City, MO, Connie furthered her education at Northwestern University where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Mortar Board. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1946 with a double major in Political Science and Journalism. Connie worked in the News Bureau and the Office of Public Affairs at Denison University.

Connie was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Alpha Phi Sorority, and P.E.O. She also was a Sinnett House volunteer and a dedicated member of Twig 6 in Granville.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Alan Higgins of Blacklick; son and daughter-in-law, Craig Brasmer and Penny Coons of Dublin; grandchildren, Patrick Higgins and Camille Coons-Brasmer; one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Tom Elliott of Arlington Heights, IL, and four nieces and four nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brasmer was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Brasmer, whom she married August 31, 1948, and her step-father, Dr. I.A. Smothers.
