D. Michael Manley was a man who was strong and resilient in every area. An award winning salesman, an accomplished cook, an avid gardener, and a passionate golfer, Mike also had a tremendous gift for conversation. He graduated in 1957 from St. Francis DeSales High School in Newark and attended The Church of St. Edward the Confessor in Granville. Throughout his lifetime he traveled the country and the world with his high-fashion Women's Shoe Business. Playing golf was something that always brought him great joy and he could often be found teeing off in the snow at the Granville Golf Course. He also loved to shell on the beaches of Sanibel and Ft. Myers, Florida. Most importantly, he loved his family and gave all he had to make them happy. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, he will be forever remembered and greatly missed.
Michael was born in Atlanta, Georgia May 1, 1939 to the late Robert and Mae (Brothers) Manley. He passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. At his request, there will be no services at this time.
