A celebration of life service for David E. Linscott, 70, of Granville, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Centenary United Methodist Church, 102. E. Broadway, Granville with Rev. Steven J. Cramer as celebrant. The family will receive friends prior the service beginning at 12:30 P.M. in Shepherd's Hall.
David died Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus. He was born in Athens, Ohio to Maxine (Thompson) and the late Rodney Linscott. He was the Leasing Manager at Caldwell Automotive for 52 years.
David was a man of great dexterity and patience who enjoyed working with wood through The Wood Samaritans Club at Centenary United Methodist Church or building a model Clipper ship with the Shipwrights of Central Ohio in Columbus. David was also a member of The Archaeological Society of Ohio and an avid Ohio State fan. A country boy at heart, David enjoyed spending time outdoors doing yard work or golfing at Moundbuilders Country Club.
In addition to his mother, Maxine, he is survived by his wife of 16 years, Cheryl (Hart) Linscott of Granville; children, Randy (Christine) Linscott of Columbus, Ken Linscott of New Albany, and Christopher Mays of Granville; grandchildren, Jordann, Zachary, Chelcie, Austin, Maxwell, Wyatt and Gillian; and sister, Kathleen (Tom) Hardy of Glouster.
