A graveside service will be held for David A. Sutton, 73, of Columbus at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Newark Memorial Gardens with Pastor Alan Pratt officiating.
Dave died August 20, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus. He was born September 7, 1937 in Newark to the late John Earl and Sylvia Edris (Lamson) Sutton.
A 1955 graduate of Granville High School, Dave served in the U.S. Navy and graduated from The Ohio State University. He remained a Buckeye fan and was a member of the Alumni Club.
After retiring from General Motors as an accountant, Dave spent his winters in Florida where he loved to walk the beach.
Surviving are his nieces and their husbands, Pam (Mark) Sutton-Charron and Colleen (Brian) Wright; nephews and their wives, Todd Sutton, Steve (Lucinda) Sutton, Thomas (Diane) Sutton, and Andrew (Margaret) Sutton; sisters-in-law, Betty Sutton and Sally Sutton; and family by choice, Denny Fulks and Alex Li.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and John Sutton.
