A memorial service celebrating the life of Dora “Lou” Ream, 84, formerly of Granville, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church, 110 W. Broadway, Granville with Rev. Karen J. Chakoian as celebrant. Private interment will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.
Lou passed away August 21, 2021 at the Vi Bentley Care Center in Naples, Florida. She was born in Monroe County, Ohio to the late John R. and Lela Haught.
A graduate of Rushville High School and Lancaster Fairfield School of Nursing, Lou practiced as a registered nurse prior to joining her late husband in the family business, Taylor Drug, in 1966. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter AB and First Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder. Lou enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, traveling, cooking, and cherished her time spent with family, especially at the cottage on Buckeye Lake.
Surviving are her son, Greg and wife Patty Ream; grandson, John Ream and his wife Kristin Sell Ream, and their children Charles and Ben Ream; grandson, Dan Ream, and his wife Elle VanWalsen Ream, and their children, Teddy and Lucas; and grandson, Tom Ream; daughter, Linda Birchmeier and husband Jim Birchmeier; grandson, Ryan Birchmeier and his fiance Emma Pfohman; granddaughter, Katie Fendler and her husband Jon Fendler; sister, Joyce Freeland; sister in law, Jean Hiatt; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Louis Ream and brothers, Jack and Stanley Haught.
