Dorotha A. Hartsough

A funeral service celebrating the life of Dorotha A. Hartsough, 99, of Granville, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 4, 2012 at McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St., Granville with the Rev. Tom Myers as celebrant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.
A 1931 graduate of Alexandria High School, Dorotha died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Kindred Healthcare of Newark. She was born in New Albany June 10, 1913 to the late Nettie (Mossholder) and Edward Ealy.
Dorotha will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also a member of Pythian Sisters and Do Little Craft Club.
Surviving are her daughter Betty Taylor of Newark; grandchildren, Tim Taylor, Sheri (Roger) Webb, and Teri Crane all of Newark; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Dorotha was preceded in death by her husband, Harold F. Hartsough, who died April 7, 1978; brothers, Paul and Harry Ealy; and sisters, Essie Coakley and Bessie Ealy.
