Dorothey Crawford

Dorothey E. Shavalier Crawford passed from this life at home with her family by her side on Friday, July 20, 2012. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan April 18, 1940 to the late Stanley Shavalier and Lauraine (Curby) Shavalier Michels.

A 1959 graduate of Ravenna High School in Michigan, Dorothey was class president, cheerleader, and homecoming queen. Dorothey excelled in real estate and property management where she enjoyed a 30 year career with Guanciale and Johnson Real Estate. She spent hours biking and walking, especially with her husband Doug on Evans Bike Trail in Newark. Dorothey also loved to travel around the country.

Surviving are her husband Doug Crawford, whom she married April 21, 2006; mother and step-father, Lauraine and Ed Michels; daughter, Connie (Greg) Cronacher of Ironton; son, Dale (Jill) Hendrickson of Columbiana; step-children, Barbara (Lyle) Crawford-McClow and Debra Crawford; grandchildren, Ali, Andrew, Hannah, Emily, Deanna, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Liam and Isla; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra (Wendell), Shannan, Jackie (Mike), Kay, and Tina (Ed).

Dorothey was preceded in death by her father Stanley Shavalier in 2007.
