Dorothy Polaski Pearson

Dorothy Polaski Pearson, 94, of Newark, previously Erie, PA, died Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Newark. She was born August 25, 1919 in Erie, PA to the late Michael and Mary (Orlemanski) Polaski.
A graduate of St. Benedict Academy in Erie, PA, Dorothy received a B.A. in Art from Edinboro University. She was the nursing home administrator at the Rondale Nursing Home in Erie, and was a member of the medical auxillary of Millcreek Hospital. She also enjoyed traveling.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Mary "Bunny" and Lawrence Dils, M.D. of Granville; grandchildren, Stephanie Dugan of Dustin, FL, Jennifer Deffet of Ft. Myers, FL, Peter Deffet and wife, Lynn, of Naples, FL, and Kathryn Deffet of Naples, FL; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, H. Dale Pearson, D.O. who died in 1989; three sisters; and four brothers.
