DOROTHY FRAZIER STUART

A graveside service for Dorothy Frazier Stuart, 89, of Manchester Center, Vt., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville, with the Rev. Karen J. Chakoian officiating.
Mrs. Stuart died June 30, 2007, in Manchester Center. She was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Muskingum Township to the late Ethel (Woodward) and Walter Welsh Frazier. Mrs. Stuart was a 1935 graduate of Granville High School and a 1939 graduate of Denison University. She was a member of Mortar Board, Phi Beta Kappa and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She taught English 12, English Honors and Latin II in the Granville school system for thirteen years until 1972. While living in Granville, she also was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, TWIG 5 of Licking Memorial Hospital, (DAC) Daughters of American Colonists and Moundbuilders Country Club. In the summer of 1972, she and Mr. Stuart moved to Punta Gorda, Florida, where Mrs. Stuart taught English 12 and English Honors for ten years in the Charlotte County school system. While living there, she was a member of the Burnt Store Golf Club and St. Andrews South Golf Club.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra S. and Michael J. Kucha of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Karen G. Stuart of Arlington, Vt.; daughter, Susan B. Stuart of North Bennington, Vt.; grandchildren, Michael Stuart Kucha and his wife, Tamara Roe, of Bellevue, Wa., Kristin Kucha and her husband, Luke Palmo, of Rancho Santa Fe, Frazier Blair and her partner, Lindsay Martin, of East Dorset, Vt., Shannon Blair of Newport, R.I., and Tanner Blair of Newport, R.I.; and great-grandchildren Kyle Stuart Palmo and Preston Michael Palmo of Rancho Santa Fe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband, George W. Stuart, her brothers, Carl A. Frazier and Paul Frazier, and her aunt, Pearl Frazier Pierson, with whom she lived following the deaths of her parents.
