A funeral service celebrating the life of Dragos Ungurean, Jr., 21, of St. Louis, Missouri will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect Street, Granville with Deacon Patrick Wilson as celebrant. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.
Dragos died March 1, 2012 in St. Louis, Missouri due to an automobile accident. He was born in Romania September 17, 1990 to Dragos and Mariana (Iordanescu) Ungurean.
A student of Webster University, Dragos studied journalism and was a talented writer. His passion for cars and working on them led him to Rankin Technical College where he was a senior student in the auto mechanic program while he was working full time as auto technician at Beelman Trucking. He enjoyed watching movies from a director's perspective and was an avid rock climber and golfer.
In addition to his parents, surviving are his dear uncles and friends, Bogdan and Aurel Ciufulescu; step-brother, Emanuel Ungurean; step-sister, Andrea Tautu; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
