Eloise Rauch Foster Jan. 31, 1919 - Feb. 11, 2007
A funeral service for Eloise Rauch Foster, 88, of Granville, was held Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at Centenary United Methodist Church, Granville with the Rev. Stephen J. Cramer officiating. Burial followed in Welsh Hills Cemetery, Granville. Mrs. Foster died Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Kendal at Granville. She was born January 31, 1919, in Lowell, Ohio to the late Frank and Elenora (Meiser) Rauch. Mrs. Foster was employed at Denison University for more than 20 years working in food services at Slayter Hall. Elosie was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church where she was active in the Centenary Quilters, EIN-AR-EGAN Club, Sharon Valley Club, and Welsh Hills Garden Club. She was a sports fan who enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren play little league baseball. She was also an avid quilter completing more than 100 quilts. Surviving are her two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth E. and Marilyn Foster of Berea and Gary N. and Jean Foster of Lexington, Ky; daughter, Evelyn Butt of Granville; step-daughter, Thelma Stiff of Granville; three sisters, Kathryn Kissell of Granville, Eileen Gray and Elenora Pape, both of Newark; three sisters-in-law Thelma Rauch and Mary Rauch of Newark, and Goldie Rauch of Coshocton; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Les Foster, three brothers; and three sisters. The McPeek Funeral Home in Granville was in charge of arrangements.
