A memorial gathering will be held at a later for Ernest L. "Ernie" Cottrill, II, 50, of Granville, formerly of Crooksville.
Ernie passed away unexpectedly January 2, 2015 in Crooksville. He was born March 4, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ernest L. and Patricia (Carsey) Cottrill.
An U.S. Army veteran, Ernie served in the 101st Airborne and was a member of VFW Post #9090 Crooksville-Roseville. He was a framing carpenter and enjoyed music and playing the guitar, whether it be rock, country, or gospel. Ernie will be remembered as an extremely caring person and for his love of animals.
Surviving are his wife, Wendy (Reed) Cottrill; daughters, Celena Cottrill and Alexandra Reed; grandchildren, Daveina, Malachi, Jackson, and Anthony; sisters, Cassandra Cleveland, Crystal Cottrill, and Lori Lough; and stepfather, Kenneth Jones.
