E. Ruth Dietz Lisle

A funeral service celebrating the life of E. Ruth Dietz Lisle will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Centenary United Methodist Church, 102 E. Broadway, Granville with Rev. Casey Wilson as celebrant. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service in Shepherd Hall at the church.

A retired computer operations supervisor at Denison University, Ruth passed away October 13, 2016 at her home in Copley, Ohio. She was born in Canal Winchester, Ohio in 1921 to the late Samuel and Mable (Loucks) Dietz and made her home in Granville.

Ruth was member of Centenary United Methodist Church where she was involved with the United Methodist Women and Morning Glory Circle. She enjoyed playing dominos and being with the potluck club. Ruth was a devoted wife, loved her family deeply, and cared for her community in many ways. She will be remembered for her smile and the warmth she shared with others.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, David A. and Charlotte Lisle, and Theodore R. and Susan Lisle; granddaughters, Emily McIlvaine and Meredith Goebel; three great grandchildren; two sisters; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful church family.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Lisle; son, Danny R. Lisle; one brother; and four sisters.
