Flo "Stella" Long
October 3, 1934 — February 2, 2008
A memorial service for Flo "Stella" Long, 73, of Granville, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at McPeek Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Knox officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.
Stella died February 2, 2008 at Arlington Care Center in Newark. She was born Oct. 3, 1943 in Fayette County to the late Frank and Beatrice Castle.
Stella was a graduate of Haley's Mill High School in Fayette County and long time resident of Granville. She retired from Union Tool Manufacturing. Her favorite hobbies included bowling and working crossword puzzles. Through her love and nurturing side, Stella greatly touched the lives of those around her and will be fondly remembered as a mother to many.
Surviving are her son, Jerry Castle of Newark; sisters, Karen and Sonya; and many adopted grandchildren and their parents.
In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Long, Jr.; grandson Michael J. Castle; one brother and three sisters.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
