Frances L. Jobe

A funeral service will be held for Frances L. Jobe, 94, of Peoria, AZ, formerly of Granville, at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 16, 2017 at McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St., in Granville with Rev. Casey Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.  The family will receive friends one hour prior the service.

Mrs. Jobe passed away July 7, 2017 at Golden Age Assisted Care Home in Peoria, Arizona.  She was born in Granville in 1922 to the late Lester B. and Ada (Patton) Hall.

A 1940 graduate of Granville High School, Frances was a former supervisor at the Ohio Farm Bureau for four years.  In 1945, after relocating to Michigan, she was the Elementary School Secretary in Belleville, MI for 14 years.  Later, she moved to Arizona in 1981 where she was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sun City, Arizona.

Surviving are her daughter, Patricia A. Skomedal of Toledo; daughter-in-law, Sandra K. Jobe of Eolia, MO; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur Hall of Hilliard, Herbert and Rose Mary Hall of Granville, and Frank and Johanna Hall of Newark.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John R. Jobe; son, James R. Jobe; and grandson, John Randall.
