A graveside service for Frances B. Mallow, 82, of Mount Vernon, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Wilson Cemetery, Newark with the Rev. Stephen J. Cramer officiating.
Mrs. Mallow, a principal and school teacher for Big Walnut Local Schools in Sunbury, died Aug. 30, 2008 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. She was born October 13, 1925 in Galena to the late Marie G. Burt and J. Paul Brown.
Frances was a graduate of North High School in Columbus and a 1967 graduate of Otterbein College. She earned her master's degree in education from La Verne College in 1975.
Surviving are her sister, Margaret Brown Miskimen of Mt. Vernon; nieces and Margie C. Gerczak of Livonia, Michigan and Sally Simpson Johnson of Granville and Lady Lake, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burley C. Mallow, whom she married June 1, 1946.
