Frank G. White, Iii

A memorial service celebrating the life of Frank Gregory White, III will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 27th, 2022, in Swasey Chapel on the campus of Denison University in Granville, Ohio. Due to construction and no parking at Swasey Chapel, please utilize the parking garage.

Frank passed away on May 17, 2022, at his home in Granville, Ohio. He was born in Houston, Texas to Suzanne and Frank White, Jr. He attended St. Thomas Episcopal School in Houston, Texas, where he discovered his love of playing the bagpipes. Frank earned his B.S. in Molecular Biology at the University of Texas where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He then earned his M.S. in Cell Biology and Anatomy at the University of Arizona. It was at the University of Arizona where he met his wife, Laura. Following graduate school, he worked as a research scientist for many years, both in North Carolina and Ohio, before deciding to pursue a J.D. from The Ohio State University where he received several honors upon his graduation in 2012. Most recently, he had been working from home as Director of Legal for Mereo BioPharma based in London, England.

Frank was a fun, devoted, and loving husband and father. His life centered around raising his sons, Ethan and Owen. Frank was very engaged in their activities, including serving as coach of their robotics team for many years. He also enjoyed cooking (especially Mexican food), grilling, playing guitar and bagpipes, playing basketball, watching movies, reading sci-fi, taking his family on trips to the beach and national parks, and playing video games with his boys. Frank also shared with his boys a love for all things related to Star Wars.

Cherishing his memory are his wife of 19 years, Laura Allison Romano; sons, Ethan Graham and Owen Lewis White; parents, Suzanne and Frank White, Jr.; sister and husband, Ann and Dean Holliday, and their children Jacqueline and Jessica; in-laws, Elizabeth and Robert Romano; brother-in-law, Gregory; brother-in-law and wife, Philip and Kelly Charland, and their children Mary, Philip, and Rocco; many extended relatives and friends; and faithful canine companions, Roxy, Scruffy, and Piggy.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm on Thursday, May 26th at McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home located at 133 S. Prospect Street in Granville, Ohio. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mcpeekhoekstra.com.

In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to bring items to the memorial service and/or make a donation on behalf of the Licking County Humane Society at https://lchspets.org/.
