Grant W. Willis

Grant William Willis, age 22, of Granville, Ohio died Thursday, April 11, 2013. He was born April 22, 1990 in Columbus, Ohio.

Grant graduated from Granville High School in 2008. While in high school, Grant played football and lacrosse earning numerous honors and served as team captain. Grant received his B.A. from the University of Idaho in Resource Recreation and Tourism, summa cum laude in 2012.

Growing up playing sports in Granville, Grant began as an intern for the Granville Recreation District in 2010 and became the Youth Activities Coordinator after graduation from college. Grant was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting.

Grant is survived by his parents, Krista and Bill Willis; sister, Kaleigh; brother, Kirk; grandparents, Sue and Bob Keller of FL, and Linda and Bill Willis of FL; aunts and uncles, Kara and Ted Tinkler of Dublin, Kerry Keller of FL, Lisa and Ed Sizemore of Grove City, Cheryl and Gordon Roessler of FL, Kari and Greg Willis of FL, and Katherine and Ryan Willis of FL; and many cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 5:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, 110 W. Broadway in Granville. A memorial celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the church with Rev. Karen J. Chakoian as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Granville Recreation District, P.O. Box 483, Granville, Ohio 43023.
