A funeral service for Harold C. McDougal, 72, of Granville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at McPeek Funeral Home in Granville with Pastor Tom Myers officiating.  Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Newark. Harold passed away peacefully on December 9, 2007, at his home.  He was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Plymouth, Ohio to the late Clem and Artie (Shorthouse) McDougal.

Harold was a 1953 graduate of Greenwich High School.   Harold worked as a millwright for  H.C. Attebery & Associates in Granville for over 26 years.   In 2000, he retired from B & B Tractor in Utica.  Harold was a member of Lodge #261 F. & A. M. in North Fairfield.  An avid gardener, his other hobbies included camping, boating, and collecting 1/64 scale toys. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Darlene (Ebinger) McDougal of Granville; sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Lorrie McDougal of Newark, and Alan and Colleen McDougal of Newark; grandson and fiancAC., Scott  McDougal and Lauren Henderson; granddaughters, Katelyn, Stephanie, and Molly McDougal; sister, B. Mae Newcomer of Bradenton, FL; and a special aunt, Ruth of Bradenton, FL.
