I. Eugene Jared

Isaac Eugene Jared, 87, of Columbus, passed away January 30, 2023 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Crossville, Tennessee to the late William L. and Essie L. (Moss) Jared.

Eugene was an Army veteran who served from 1949 -1963. He graduated from the Ohio State University in 1959 and completed his master’s degree at Purdue in 1961. He enjoyed a career in sales with NCR for 28 years and then consulted until the age of 82.

A member of the Columbus Country Club and passionate Buckeye fan, Eugene also enjoyed the game of golf and was a voracious reader. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Marsha; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Laura, Ben and Amy, and Matthew and Ashley; grandchildren, Maggie, Mark, David, and River Claire.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by two brothers and his grandson, Kelton.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with private interment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.
