James H. Boyle, 92, of Circleville, passed away on January 18, 2021 at Berger Hospital in Circleville after an extended illness. He was born in 1928, at his home, in Penn Township, PA to the late Daniel and Theresa Boyle.
A proud WWII Navy veteran, James returned home after the war to marry, Helen, his beloved wife of 71 years. He began his career in auto body working his way up to shop manager doing estimates. In time, he was owner/operator of his own auto body shop for 20 years. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 134 in Circleville. It was only in the past 12 years that James and his wife moved to Ohio to be closer to family.
James was an ardent Steelers fan and loved to bowl and shoot pool. He will be remembered for his laughter and great sense of humor. Sometimes stubborn, but always loving, James enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; daughters, Sarah Muster of Stoutsville, Terry (Bill) Hohan of Chandler, AZ, Kathy (Lee) Griffith of Circleville, and Kelly (Richard) Barber of Gahanna; twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, James Boyle, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Tucker; brothers, Daniel and Thomas Boyle; and sister, Ruth Fisher.
A memorial service will be held in the summer of 2021.
