Jeffrey A. Wright

A memorial service celebrating the life of Jeffrey A. Wright, 65, of Newark, will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect St., Granville with Rev. Andrew Hottinger as celebrant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at Kirkersville Cemetery.

A 1975 graduate of Granville High School, Jeff passed away July 4, 2022 at Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newark. He was born in Newark, Ohio to the late M. Keith and M. Maxine Wright.

Jeff owned his own landscaping business, and was formerly employed at Walker Manufacturing, Newark City Schools, and Ohio Power throughout his working career. He enjoyed camping, reminiscing, and was a member of the VFW. Jeff participated in 4-H, played in the 4-H band, and helped to carry on the tradition with his daughter whom he supported through her projects. He was a people person who was genuinely interested in others whether it be his daughter, family, or friends. Jeff will be remembered for his love of family and his day-dreaming heart.

Surviving are his daughter, Abbie Wright; siblings and their spouses, Bev Knoderer, Danny and Cheryl Wright and Amy and Dave Triplett; nieces and nephews; and special friend Mary Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Aging Program, 1085 E. Main St., Newark, OH 43055.
