Jerry L. Taylor

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jerry L. Taylor, 54, of Granville, formerly of Allegany, NY, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at The Church of Saint Edward the Confessor, 785 Newark-Granville Road, Granville, with Monsignor Paul P. Enke as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Allegany, NY. Jerry, a Lab Technician at Owens-Corning of Granville, OH died on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at the Selma Markowitz Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born in Port Allegany, PA to the late Helen Eva (Allen) and Herman G. Taylor.
Jerry was a 1972 graduate of Smethport area High School in Smethport, Pennsylvania. He was a member of The Church of Saint Edward the Confessor, and formerly a member of St. Bonaventure in Allegany, New York. Jerry had many interests which included NASCAR, carpentry, and water sports such as tubing or boating. He most enjoyed jet skiing.
Surviving are his wife, Julia M. (Bush) Taylor of Granville, whom he married August 16, 1986; sons, Brent J. and Gregory L. Taylor of Granville, and Michael C. (Patty) Taylor of Smethport, Penn.; daughters, Kristina M., Corrine B. and Heather A. Taylor of Granville, and Molly A. (Nick) Kinner of Hazelhurst, Penn.; brother, Michael (MaryAnn) Taylor, of St. Augustine, Fla.; and sister, Jeanne (William) Lowe of Eldred, Penn.; stepmother, Hazel Taylor of Keating Sunnit, PA, and two grandchildren, Tristan and Hannah Taylor of Smethport, PA and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Gail Freer.
