A graveside service will be held for Joan Langley, 88, formerly of Granville, at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville with Rev. Casey Wilson as celebrant.
Joan passed away December 28, 2021 at her home in Oviedo, Florida surrounded by family. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica to the late Daniel J. Miller and Mabel E. Baier.
As a seamstress in Jamaica, she met and married her husband Leonard and moved to Ohio. Here they raised three children with their fourth child arriving during their years spent in Puerto Rico. She enjoyed knitting, macrame, and traveling, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Joan can be best described as having a warm heart, always offering a kind word and a smile that brought joy to everyone she spent time with. Joan was a strong and caring wife, mother, and friend. She was a good and faithful servant of God and passed her blessings of joy to her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her four children and their spouses, Larry and Koreen Langley, Keith Langley, George and Sisa Langley and Carol and Hugh Fain; grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Isabel, and Kayla; nephew, Donald.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Leonard R Langley who died January 19, 2021; and her three sisters.
