A funeral service for Joan S. Marovich, 74, of Granville, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, at McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect Street, Granville, with Rev. Isak Kisin officiating.
Joan died Monday, January 5, 2009 at her home. She was born July 28, 1934 in Penns Grove, New Jersey to the late John K. and Jessie (Ashenbrunner) Biddle.
Joan, a wonderful wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, retired after 20 years of service as Circulation Supervisor at Denison University Library.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, George Marovich of Granville; sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew and Amista Marovich of Barnesville, and Michael and Tarla Marovich of Rudolph; daughter and life partner, Danica Marovich and Mary Bostian of Westerville; grandchildren, Aaron, Alexis, Michael, Christopher, Brianna, Celecia, Stephanie, Stephan, Rebecca, Samantha, Christina, and Emily; great grandson, Brenden; and sister and brother-in-law, Faith and Carl Page of Newark, Delaware.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheryl Nagy; and brother, Kenneth Biddle.
