Jonathan A. Buzzard

A funeral service for Jonathan A. Buzzard, 32, of Pataskala will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 7714 Hazelton-Etna Rd., Pataskala with Pastor Bret Rizzo as celebrant. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Jonathan died unexpectedly after an extended illness on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Mount Carmel East. He was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1984 to Ritva (Jantunen) and the late C. Kenneth Buzzard. He attended Watkins Memorial High School and Columbus State where he was studying automotive technology.
With a tough exterior but a heart of gold, Jonathan was a fearless person who valued orderliness and enjoyed movies and skiing. A voracious reader, he was a testament to the saying “you can’t judge a book by its cover”. He will be remembered for his intelligence, compassion for others, and his love of family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Andrea Buzzard; nieces, Harmony and October Buzzard all of Pataskala; aunts, Mary Lou (Ad) Oltmann of Newark, Barbara (Jim) Timms of Somerset, and Carolyn (Wayne) Harne of Pataskala, and many cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hosanna Lutheran Church for the care of the Buzzard family.
