Joseph F Rubin

A private family service will be held at a later date for Joseph F. Rubin, 81, of Pataskala. Mr. Rubin passed away October 12, 2009 at Heath Nursing Care Center. He was born March 1, 1928 in Cleveland to the late Frank J. and Catherine Garagaus Rubin.
A million miler, Joe drove for Consolidated Freightway for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the occupation of Japan.
Joe, a member of Theodore Breck Lodge #714 F. & A.M. enjoyed golfing, camping, and traveling. He spoke at schools educating children not to smoke. He also taught school bus driver training.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Dolores (Prochaska) Rubin; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah (Barney) Kemter, Karen (Kenneth) Grove, and Jody Rubin; grandchildren, Anne, James, Jeremy, Rachel, Angela, Andrew, Jessica, Kevin, Simone, Tyler, Joshua, Naomi, and Johanna; and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Barney, Ashley, and Lindsey and one brother James.
