Juanita E. (Hill) Humphrey

A funeral service for Juanita E. (Hill) Humphrey, 80, of Newark, formerly of Granville, will be held Friday, June 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect Street, Granville, with Minister Jarry Barr officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.

Juanita passed away peacefully at her home Monday, May 31, 2010. She was born November 30, 1929 to the late Elizabeth Deeds and John Hill.
A graduate of Granville High School, Juanita loved crocheting, sewing, and cooking. She will be remembered for her social skills and genuine interest in people. Most especially, being a Hostess at Waffle House in Reynoldsburg. She was also a member of Newark Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Rhonda Grigsby, Barbara Jean Hunter and Rebecca Ellis; son, Mike Showman; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Arlo and Judy Hill; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by three husbands, Donald Showman, Harold Sawyers, and Lawrence Humphrey; sisters, Rachel Copeland, Martha Ihler, and Charlotte Cordray and one brother, John Hill.
