Juanita Y. Wrightsel

A funeral service for Juanita Y. Wrightsel, 78, of Newark, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect Street, Granville with the Rev. Stephen H. Applegate officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster.

Juanita passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Autumn at the Lake in Thornville. She was born in Westerville, September 14, 1930 to the late Lloyd E. and Leota (Mann) Gray.

In 1948, Juanita graduated from Westerville High School and married her husband of 60 years, the Rev. Kenneth Wrightsel. She was employed by the Petrie Corporation as a retail manager and was active in the Methodist church and many women's guilds. She will lovingly be remembered for the time she spent with her grandchildren and her presence in their lives.

In addition to her husband, surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Esther Wrightsel and Dale Lobeck of Newark and Nadine and George Sparks of Delaware; grandchildren and their spouses, Desiree and Chris McCallips of Durand, Il, Deven and Ken Rittenhouse of Granville, Jennifer and Doug Clay of Hilliard, Deanna and David Jackson of Delaware and Jason McDougle of Delaware; six great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Viola and Charles Bailey of Clearwater, Fla. and Barb and Keith Schrack of Columbus; and one brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Linda Gray of Pataskala.

Juanita was preceded in death by her son, Earl Wrightsel; an infant daughter, Carolyn June; two brothers and three sisters.
