June E. Plute

A Funeral Mass will be held for June E. Plute, 94, of Granville, at 10:00 A.M. June 29, 2021 at The Church of St. Edward the Confessor, 785 Newark Granville Rd., Granville with Msgr. Paul P. Enke as celebrant. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Granville.

June passed away, Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Middleton in Granville. She was born in Shalersville, Ohio to the late George and Myra Gill.

After graduating from Shalersville High School, June earned an Associate degree from Kent State University. In 1980, together with her late husband, Gil, they founded Edelweiss Farm in Granville Township and became the first Farmer’s Market vendor. June was a member of St. Edward’s Church, Granville Senior Center Book Club, and served as Boy Scout Den Mother and 4H Advisor. She was an ardent scrabble player and enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, ceramics. June will be remembered for her love and devotion of family and faithful presence at all the sporting and band events.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Karen and Edward Eales; David and Mary Plute, Timothy Plute, Gregory Plute, Thomas and Charlotte Plute, and Richard and Mary Jane Plute; 18 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and sister, Wanda Galiani.
