June "Eileen" Funk

June “Eileen” Funk, 95, of Granville, passed away peacefully at Tuscany Gardens of Pataskala.  She was born May 24, 1928, in Logan, Ohio to the late Ralph and Ethel (Kline) Goss.

Eileen was a graduate of Newark High School and attended Olivet Nazarene University for one year.  She worked at the Ohio Power Company before raising a family.  Later, she worked at Fuller’s Market and for the Dental practice of Dr. Cartnal in Granville.  Eileen was a faithful member of Harmony Primitive Baptist Church.  She was one of the original founders of the DoLittle Craft Club with three of her generations being members.

Eileen was a superb homemaker who was a skilled gardener, growing both flowers and vegetables and she was a talented seamstress.  She made her home warm, open and inviting to all.  It was a known hang out favorite for the Raccoon Valley neighborhood kids.  Eileen always had a smile on her face and was pleasant, easy-going and cheerful.  She was known as a hard worker who was willing to go above and beyond to help others.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband Charles H. Funk who passed away December 3, 2016; her daughter, Linda Clemmer and two brothers, Gail and Kelly Goss.  Eileen is survived by her children, Glen (Sally) Funk and Sandra (John) Krumm; eight grandchildren, Courtney (Mark), Carrie (Ben), David, Katie (Katie), Michell (Addie), Andrew (Rachel), Esther, Josiah; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M.  Saturday June 17, 2023, at McPeek Hoekstra Hoskinson Funeral Home, 133 S. Prospect Street, Granville, Ohio 43023 with her son-in-law, Elder John Krumm presiding assisted by her grandson, Elder Mitchell Krumm.  Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
