A funeral service for Kennenth R. Pierce, 85, of Heath, will be held at Alexander Funeral Home, East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Rd., Evansville, Indiana.
Mr. Pierce died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. He was born October 24, 1923 in Herrin, IL to the late Charles and Bessie (Spangler) Pierce.
During WWII Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Army. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service where he had been an letter carrier supervisor.
In additon to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Doris Pierce who died March 24, 2005.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Mark Greenwood of Granville and two granddaughters.
