A Mass of Christian Burial for Lawrence "Larry" J. Dickson, 57, of Granville, Ohio and Osprey, Florida, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Church of St. Edward the Confessor, 785 Newark Granville Rd., Granville with Msgr. Paul P. Enke as celebrant. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville.

Larry died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. He was born January 10, 1955 in Detroit, MI to the late Francis and Linnea (Ottoson) Dickson.

A graduate of General Motors Institute, Larry studied mechanical engineering and later earned his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. His early career was spent at General Motors and Owens Corning. He was an entrepreneur at heart and founded Composix, ArmorSource, Ohio Armor and Force One.

He enjoyed restoring homes, woodworking and sailing and was an avid backgammon and poker player. Larry will be remembered as a loving husband, father and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family. A generous man, Larry opened his home to many and served as a good friend and father figure to all who needed one.

Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Terry (O'Shea) Dickson; children, Jim, Jennifer, Ashley and Michael; his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Linda Dickson of Grandview Heights; mother-in-law, Mary O'Shea-Wight of Maumee; and eight nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 20th from 1-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the church where a Vigil Service will be held at 3:45 P.M.
