Lee T. (Thompson) Biciunas

Lee T. Biciunas, age 80, of Granville, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Embassy of Newark. She was born August 19, 1944 in Sebring, Florida to the late Roland and Barbara (Laylin) Thompson.

A 1962 graduate of Granville High School, Lee was also a graduate of Miami University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She was recruited out of college to work for Hallmark in Kansas as a lettering artist. She came back to Granville and took education courses at Denison University where she was on WDUB radio and known as “Granny Good Vibes”. She later moved to Chicago where she worked in advertising and met her husband, Al.

Lee was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Granville where she and her husband volunteered as gardeners. An avid lover of cats, Lee volunteered with the Licking County Humane Society. She loved gardening and also enjoyed needlepoint.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Alvydas J. “Al” Biciunas, whom she married September 1, 1976; and many friends in Granville and especially at Taco Dan’s.

Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, January 17, at McPeek Hoekstra Hoskinson Funeral Home, 133 South Prospect Street in Granville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Drive, Heath, OH 43056.
