Leila N. Poole

A funeral service celebrating the life of Leila R. Poole, 92, of Pataskala, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 309 W. Broadway, Granville with Pastor Marc Schroeder as celebrant. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Leila passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born December 26, 1921 in Flint, Michigan to the late Carl and Margaretha (Holler) Norum.

She was a graduate of Northern High School in Flint. Leila was also a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and the Pilgrim Lutheran Guild. She enjoyed quilting, reading and travel. She especially loved life, people and friends of her church congregation and residence at Sharonbooke in Newark, Ohio.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth W. and Lori Poole of Plain City, OH and Norman R. and Sandra L. Poole of Casa Grande, AZ; grandchildren, James (Brad) Poole and Cheryl Poole Burns; and great grandsons, Brock, Heath, and Tristan Burns.

In addition to her parents, Leila was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth W. Poole, who died November 21, 1992, a brother and five sisters.
