A funeral service celebrating the life of Lenora E. McComas, 66, Johnstown will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 102 E. Broadway, Granville with Pastor Bryan K. Grove officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Langdon Cemetery in Getaway, Ohio. Lenora, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on August 9, 2009. She was born October 12, 1942 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Joseph C. and Thelma (Cowee) Riley.

Lenora retired from the Groveport Madison School District after more than 20 years as a bus driver. She was a member of New Covenant Community Church in Johnstown where she was actively involved ministering in the women's guild and volunteering in many other capacities. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her friends vacationing or dining out. Mostly, Lenora loved her family and will be remembered for providing a home to many, sharing her love with all.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas J. McComas of Alabama; son Thomas J. McComas of Granville, daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and James Middleton of Johnstown and Tammy and Ralph Perkins of Pickerington; grandchildren, Kenneth and William Middleton, Jordan, Olivia, and Brandon Perkins, and Benjamin and Jonathon McComas; brothers and sister-in-law, Alvin and Carolyn Riley, Kenneth Riley both of Whitehall, and Donald Riley of Johnstown; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol Rose of Scottstown, Dorothy and Rick Flora, and Alvina and Mike Burns both of Johnstown; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lenora was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles, Thomas, Ben, Bill, and Francis Riley.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McPEEK-HOEKSTRA FUNERAL HOME, 133 S. Prospect Street in Granville.
