Linda S. Engle
March 19, 1951 — July 5, 2009
A funeral service for Linda Sue Engle, 58, of Granville, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009, at the First Presbyterian Church, 110 W. Broadway, Granville with the Rev. Karen Chakoian and Rev. Tim Sowards officiating. Interment will follow at Welsh Hills Cemetery in Granville.
Linda died Sunday, July 5, 2009 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born March 19, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ruth Fletcher and Robert Price.
Linda began her career working in travel and tourism and then became the first regional manager for Dollar Rental Car covering Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. She most recently was the owner and operator of Knuckleheads in Granville. In addition to her career, she enjoyed her down time relaxing, watching sunsets, spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoying family.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Stacy Engle of Granville; grandchildren, Alex and Reagan; special friend, Dale S. Poundstone of Granville; canine companion, Maggie Mae; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Connie Price of Minerva Park, and William and Linda Lou Price of Hilliard; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Ken Wozniak of Alamogordo, NM; mother-in-law, Ramona Engle of Granville; many nieces and nephews; friend Michelle McMullen, and her Knuckleheads' family.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband Ronald V. Engle.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the John Calvin Chapel at the church. Arrangements are in the care of McPEEK-HOEKSTRA Funeral Home in Granville. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mcpeekhoekstra.com
