Lois L. Swenson

A memorial service for Lois L. Swenson, 86, of Granville, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church, 110 W. Broadway, Granville, with the Rev. Karen Chakoian officiating.

Mrs. Swenson died August 15, 2008 at Kendal Health Center in Granville.  She was born in Stevens Point, Wisc., on March 31, 1922 to the late George H. and Lydia (Clark) Lynn.

Lois attended the University of Wisconsin where she received her B.A. in Bacteriology.  She was a member and active participant in the Women's Group of the First Presbyterian Church in Granville.  Lois also was a PEO member for over 50 years.   An avid Bridge player, Lois enjoyed playing cards with neighbors and friends.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Paul E. Swenson of Granville, whom she married June 17, 1943 in Alamogordo, New Mexico; daughters and son-in-law, Paula Morris of Savannah, GA, and Jane and Dr. Michael Wine of Grove City; son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Diane Swenson of Oxford, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
